Our Lessons
Child Lessons
Laura has extensive experience teaching children from the ages of 4 to 12. She is kind and patient and takes pride in matching her lessons to children's learning styles and individual interests. Laura has a Certificate of Teaching (Primary) and Working with Children Check. She and has worked in both Primary and Secondary schools as a Cello Teacher and Ensemble Director.
Teen Lessons
Laura takes great pride in establishing a strong rapport with her teenage students. She gives them the respect they deserve, is appreciative of their many talents, styles of learning, and other interest outside of the world of music. Laura has had great success with taking teenage students to intermediate and advanced levels, working with them to ensure the repertoire and style of teaching matches their many interests.
Adult Lessons
Laura takes great joy in teaching adult beginners. Adults bring a wealth of experience to their lessons which can be harnessed to help them learn cello skills, practice skills, and goal setting skills that will allow them to flourish. Laura has Certificates in Kodaly, Orff and Colourstrings which help her adjust her teaching to each adult student's needs.
